After 14 years, popular bakery quietly closes Columbus location

A longstanding bakery chain known for decorative and decadent cakes, cupcakes, and cookies has quietly closed their Columbus location.

Gigi’s Cupcakes opened at 2019 Polaris Parkway back in 2012, quickly becoming a favorite for artisan cupcakes in unique flavors as well as made-to-order cakes.

Last evening, they changed their Facebook cover photo to a neon sign that reads “Closed,” and their phone number is now out of service. The Polaris location has been removed from Gigi’s website, and Google has marked it permanently closed.

About a year ago, Gigi’s launched a “Cupcake Bus,” offering pop-up cupcakes to the public. We checked their upcoming events page, and it appears the bus has nothing scheduled now.
