After 15 years, popular food truck opens first brick & mortar restaurant

For the past 15 years, Los Potosinos has been slinging some of the best, most authentic Mexican food right out of their bright red food truck parked on E. Long St.

But things have changed, for the better. 

Los Potosinos announced last year that they were moving to 695 E. Long St., in the former home of What The Waffle, who quietly closed in late Spring of 2023.

And they’re now officially open! Monday through Saturday, from 7am-5pm, guests can grab their favorite Pollo al Carbón, huge burritos, and whole fried fish, as well as a brunch menu served all day.

Lidia Labra, the owner, said she’s excited to serve an “All Mexican Breakfast,” with cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, and salsa, as well as Chilaqueles, Huevos Rancheros, and other Mexican breakfast staples.

Don’t forget about their tacos, which were ranked in the Rachael Ray Mag’s list of the 64 Best Tacos in the Country about a decade ago.
