After remaining closed for an entire year, popular summer soft serve spot returns

In case you hadn’t noticed, there was something missing from summer in Columbus last year. That something was the annual opening of the West Side soft serve destination Hilltop Dairy Twist.

Even thoufh the popular soft serve spot remained closed last summer, it’s now officially open for business.

According to Hilltop Dairy Twist’s Facebook, the dessert shop officially reopened on June 1. The concept is typically open from the beginning of June through Halloween. It’s unclear what caused the spot to remain closed last year.

The long-standing soft serve store, which accepts cash only, is located at 2860 Sullivant Ave. 

According to a recent social media post from Hilltop Dairy Twist, there is no longer an ATM located inside of the West Side eatery, so make sure to source your cash ahead of time.
