Anticipated upscale all-you-can-eat BBQ restaurant opens doors

Reviews are in – the wait has been worth it.

Last summer, local restaurant owner Hangchun Zheng announced he’d be opening his third concept, an upscale, all-you-can eat Korean BBQ and hot pot restaurant, called One Pot BBQ.

The hot, new, anticipated restaurant recently opened at 3720 W. Granville Rd. last week, and many Columbus residents are already loving the combination of unlimited BBQ & hot pot, all in one experience. One recent review said, “I recently visited One Pot, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots for a fun, interactive dining experience. The combination of hot pot and Korean BBQ offers the best of both worlds. The variety of fresh ingredients available for the hot pot, from premium meats to fresh veggies and flavorful broths, was outstanding. On the BBQ side, the quality of the meats was top-notch, perfectly marinated and tender when cooked.”

“I think One Pot will allow the people of Columbus to try a lot of different things they haven’t before,” emphasized Zheng. “Hot pot is popular in mainland China, but the popularity hasn’t reached Columbus yet like it’s reached L.A. and NYC.”

This concept involves hot pots on every table, filled with broths of your choice (vegan options, like tomato or miso broth included!), plus open grills in the middle of each table for grilling meat. Plates of seafood, meat, and vegetables will revolve around the dining room. Guests will steam them in the hot pots or cook them in the grills centered at their tables, and after everything is cooked, they can smother it all in house dipping sauces they can choose from the sauce, sides, and dessert buffet area. And of course, fancy cocktails featuring Asian liquors such as soju and sake will be available, too.

Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 3pm, AYCE BBQ or hot pot costs $19.99/person. After 3pm until they close (10:30pm M-Th, 11pm Fri & Sat), the AYCE option costs $29.99/person. If you want to try both AYCE BBQ and hot pot at the same time, it’s an additional $5 per person at the table.

Zheng currently owns and operates HC Way Asian Bistros in Columbus and a seafood boil in Cleveland. He was ready to venture out into another concept that represents his culture, and specifically a restaurant that brings friends and families together. Zheng said, “I moved from China when I was 11. Chinese food and hot pots are a part of me – it’s part of what I know and part of who I am. There’s a lot of different types of Chinese food, and I want to share all of it with Columbus.”
