‘Business Insider’ story names Columbus-area sandwich shop best in Ohio

A central Ohio sandwich shop has been tapped as the best in the Buckeye State, according to a national publication.

On Aug. 16, Business Insider published an article titled “The Best Sandwich in Every State, According to Yelp.” The story cited customer reviews on Yelp as the determining factor for each selection.

The best in Ohio? While many might expect Wario’s Beef & Pork or Katzinger’s Deli, the top spot went to Newfangled Kitchen.

The eatery is located at 2258 E. Main St. in Bexley.

Billed as a “little gourmet meatloaf sandwich shop,” the Bexley restaurant offers not just meatloaf sandwiches, it also sells hot and cold sandwiches and classic deli creations, with more than two dozen unique options to pick from.

Business Insider named the Bella Donna sandwich as the thing to grab from Newfangled Kitchen. It combines sliced portabella mushrooms, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, spinach, and mozzarella cheese, and is topped with their Fang Sauce. The sandwich is served on whole wheat bread and grilled.
