Cbus-based fast-food chain since 1934 closing 2 distribution plants, laying off almost 100 workers
Trends come & go, and apparently hamburger sliders could be on the “go.”
White Castle, which has been headquartered in Columbus, OH since 1934, is laying off almost 100 workers after closing their Kentucky food distribution plant and their Indiana meat processing plant, according to a press release.
Both plants will close in early-mid October. These plans come as White Castle is looking to consolidate their manufacturing efforts, shifting production to other existing plants. They recently added a second shift to their Zanesville, OH plant, and there are nine other manufacturing plants worldwide.
