Columbus beverage veterans open new Linworth dive bar

Jack McLaughlin

A new dive bar has opened in Linworth. Or, more accurately, a new Dive Baar has opened.

The owners of Aardvark Beer & Wine, following a remodel that saw the store more than double in size, opened last week.

Aardvark, which is owned by Donnie Austin and partner Megan Cavanaugh, is located at 2355 W. Dublin-Granville Rd in the former home of JT’s Grab & Go.

The bottle shop opened in September of 2022, and completed large-scale renovations recently. The name for the new bar concept, according to Austin, comes from the fact that the space formerly served as a scuba diving pool.

Patrons can still shop for craft beer and expertly-selected wine, and now they can grab vino by the glass or a drink from 1 of 12 different draft taps in the Dive Baar space.

The new bar will be offering snacks starting next week, and patrons can also purchase food from an on-site Ray Ray’s Hog Pit food truck or the adjacent JT’s Pizza & Pub.
