Columbus candy company issues recall
A popular Columbus candy company has issued a recall for an “undisclosed allergen,” according to a statement from the Ohio Department of Public Health (ODPH).
According to the ODPH, on Dec. 16, Anthony-Thomas issued a voluntary recall for 30 cases of Caramel Fundraiser Bars.
The cases contained a “small but unknown number of Peanut Butter bars wrapped inside of a Caramel bar wrapper,” according to the statement. “The Caramel bar wrapper does not declare peanut as an allergen.”

The product code on the recalled cases is 3194319. If your bars do not contain a product date in the white bars where they’re normally contained, they are recalled. If they do have a date code, your candy is safe to consume.
If you suspect you may have one of the recalled cases, here’s how you can identify your candy correctly:
The Caramel Bars will have an X-like pattern on them, where the Peanut Butter Bars will have a starburst pattern.
