Columbus considered one of the ‘Best Food Cities in the U.S.’ by national publication

Once just known for its plethora of gastropubs a decade ago, Columbus is making its way up in the national food scene, trading in burgers, wings, and pizza for private supper clubs, coursed tasting menus, and eccentric global cuisine.

Condé Nast Traveler, a highly acclaimed national publication, compiled their list of The Best Food Cities in the U.S.: 2024 Reader’s Choice Awards, and our own favorite city ranked in the top 10.

Columbus is considered the 8th Best Food City, according to Condé Nast Traveler. Here’s what they had to say about us:

“Home to headline-making spots like chef Avishar Barua’s Agni, which won a James Beard award this year and was also one of Bon Appétit’s 20 Best Restaurants of 2024, as well as understated, locally beloved restaurants like Ray Ray’s Hog Pit, Columbus, Ohio has something for every palate. The hospitality scene proudly honors the city’s roots with social supper clubs and (of course) Buckeye Donuts, which has been in business since 1969. It simultaneously supports a robust migrant community that has brought show-stopping Vietnamese and Kenyan food to a new, enthusiastic audience of diners.”
