Columbus sandwich concept bringing smash burgers and more to Budd Dairy Food Hall
Less than a year after launching a brick and mortar space for the first time, McGinnis’ Grill is headed to Budd Dairy Food Hall.
According to a social media post from Budd Dairy Food Hall, McGinnis Grill will take over the Hatch kitchen space beginning June 4.
Hatch typically serves as a rotating food stall for temporary vendors, although some Hatch concepts, such as Marlow’s Cheesesteaks have later come aboard Budd Dairy as a full-time vendor.

“We are so excited to partner with Budd Dairy Food Hall and bring some new sandwiches to the people of Columbus. It’s always a great feeling when people are interested in your concept, and we feel lucky to have the opportunity to grow at Budd Dairy,” owner John McGinnis told 614Now. “Having a good team makes all the difference in this industry, and we couldn’t have done it without our crew who have been with us from the start.”
McGinnis plans to include smash burgers in his offerings, including the Brunch Burger, Aloha Burger, Classic Smash and Pimento Cheese Patty Melt.
