Find out which local pizzeria won People’s Choice award at Columbus’ largest pizza-tasting event

Not Terita’s, not Pizzaroni, not Pizza House. 

Re-Slice of Columbus held its second event of 2024 on Sept. 26, and the winner of the event’s coveted People’s Choice award wasn’t one of the city’s storied, decades-old pizzerias.

Brenz Pizza Co. took home the top spot.

“Thanks to our legendary dough and one-of-a kind flavor combinations, we outdid the rest and became the People’s Choice Winner! Serving up slices and smiles, we helped raise dough for Nationwide Children’s Hospital,” Brenz wrote in a social media post made by the Development Board of Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Interestingly, Brenz is not considered Columbus-style pizza. Brenz managed to beat out popular Columbus-style spots like Massey’s, Antolino Pizza and more. 

The event, which was also held earlier this year in May, serves as a fundraiser for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
