A popular spot for fried chicken drumsticks, mac & cheese, and of course, Miss B’s Banana Pudding has been bought yet again by a major company.

Craveworthy Brands, which is owned by the former Jimmy John’s CEO Gregg Majewski, has officially completed the acquisition of Hot Chicken Takeover.

In 2021, HCT was acquired by Untamed Brands, and three years later, Craveworthy Brands now acquired Untamed, “marking a pivotal moment in the Company’s trajectory of supercharged growth,” said the press release.

Hot Chicken Takeover was founded in 2014 by Joe DeLoss, almost immediately garnering a cult-like following at their first pop-up in Olde Towne East by offering Nashville hot chicken on simple white bread sandwiches (with pickles, of course). In the past decade, HCT has expanded to 7 other locations throughout central Ohio.

This acquisition means Hot Chicken Takeover will now be part of the restaurant group that’s home to other leading concepts such as BD’s Mongolian Grill, Dirty Dough, Flat Top Grill, Genghis Grill, Krafted Burger Bar + Tap, Lucky Cat Poke Co., Pastizza Pizza & Pasta, Scramblin’ Ed’s, Sigri Indian BBQ, Soom So, Mediterranean, The Budlong Southern Chicken, and Wing It On.
