Grocery store chain opening another 123,000 square foot Central Ohio marketplace

Another  “enhanced shopping experience” is coming to Central Ohio.

After Kroger opened their newest $38 million Jerome Village Marketplace this year, which marked the first new Central Ohio location in 15 years, they’re already planning another one.

This time, Powell is the lucky suburb getting a brand new, 123,000 square foot, $35 million new Kroger Marketplace. It will be opening in late 2025, according to Kroger, and will be located near the intersection of Home Road and Sawmill Parkway.

The new Marketplace model offers a Murray’s Cheese Shop, a Starbucks, and wider selection of produce, deli items, baked goods, meat, and seafood, plus a sushi counter, drive-thru pharmacy, and an on-site Fuel Center.

“Central Ohio is growing and thriving, and Kroger is investing to serve our customers and support our hometowns,” Jon Young, president of Kroger’s Columbus division, said in a press release. “We are excited to welcome our neighbors to our new Jerome Village store and can’t wait to do it again in Powell in 2025.”
