Hibachi, build-your-own salads, and Southern BBQ joining popular market
A trio of mouthwatering concepts are joining a popular destination for foodies.
East Market, located at 212 Kelton Ave., has welcomed three new concepts to its food hall, ranging from salads to indulgent BBQ.
Masa Salad & Fruit, brought to you by Masa Mexican Grill, just opened last month, offering a healthy option for patrons. The concept encourages patrons to build-your-own salads, topping it off with their signature house-made salad dressings and a side of fresh-cut fruit. The new eatery took over the booth previously held by Butcher & Grocer, who left in the summer of 2023.
For some heartier options, a hibachi grill and a Southern BBQ joint are also planning on opening soon.

Momocha Hibachi Japanese Grill actually opens Friday (today!), serving traditional hibachi options like veggie, chicken, shrimp, and steak, plus appetizers like crab rangoon and egg roles, as well as fried rice and noodles. “The owner Morsan alongside his wife have been cooking up hibachi for many years and have finally decided to open a business of their own with a stall at East Market. They’re open 11am-9pm.
And lastly, Fran’s Meat + Three will be joining the East Market sometime this month. They’ll be serving Southern-inspired barbequed meat, plus three signature Southern sides.
Sounds like I now have some weekend plans!
