This ‘Best You’ve Never Heard Of’ restaurant serves giant crunchwraps and $1 margaritas until 2 a.m.
A casual counter-service spot serving up Tex-Mex favorites with live music and chill vibes, with a daily happy hour from 3–6 p.m. featuring $5 Crunchwraps and $1 margaritas, vegan options, and a Nintendo Super Smash Bros. gaming station complete with four Gamecube controllers—what more could you possibly want?
Crunchwerks is located inside The Summit Music Hall (2210 Summit St), and it’s a hidden gem that more people need to know about.
I’m a huge fan, and here’s why:
Start with the Crunch Dip Trio—you’ll get to sample three of their top-notch dips, and with ten options to choose from, there’s something for everyone (including several vegan choices). Options include pico de gallo, four different salsas, guacamole, queso, and refried beans and cheese. Pair those salty, crispy, perfectly fried chips with the dips, and you’re off to a great start.

Next, share an order of Crunch Tots with friends—or keep them all to yourself (no judgment). These crispy, perfectly seasoned tater tots are great on their own but become next-level when loaded with your choice of protein (chorizo and ground beef are my go-tos), pico de gallo, fire-roasted corn salsa, house-made jalapeño queso, shredded lettuce, avocado ranch, diced jalapeños, and sour cream.
For the main event, choose from Walking Tacos, Traditional Tacos, or their signature Crunches. The Crunches are an elevated version of the Crunchwrap Supreme you know and love—only better. Available in large or regular, they’re layered handhelds that balance textures and flavors in every bite. A large flour tortilla is stuffed with a crunchy tostada shell, your choice of protein, and fresh toppings, folded into a hexagon, and grilled to golden perfection. The result? A warm, cheesy, savory feast.
My go-to is The O.G. Large: house-seasoned ground beef, a fresh tostada, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and sour cream, all wrapped up and served with a side of house-made jalapeño queso. It’s comfort food done right.
