International travel guide says this Columbus bakery serves the ‘world’s best apple fritters’

Why travel all over the world when we have some of the best baked goods here on the entire planet?

There’s one spot in particular – a 100 year old, family owned bakery – that serves the “World’s Best Apple Fritters,” according to Family Destinations Guide, an international travel and inspiration guide.

According to the publication, Resch’s Bakery serves these “truly extraordinary” apple fritters. “You wouldn’t think that something so simple could be the best in the world, but one bite of Resch’s Bakery’s apple fritter might just convince you,” they said.

“These fritters are unlike any you’ve had before. They’re crisp on the outside, soft and doughy on the inside, and filled with chunks of tender apple. They’re generously glazed, giving them just the right amount of sweetness to complement the cinnamon-spiced dough,” Family Destinations Guide continued. “Each bite is a perfect balance of texture and flavor, with the tartness of the apples playing off the sugary glaze in a way that’s almost magical.”

Resch’s uses fresh apples in their fritters, chopped into bite-sized pieces and folded into their home-made dough mixture, which could explain why they’re so delicious.

But you have to see for yourself! Visit Resch’s Bakery this weekend at 4061 E. Livingston Ave. The long line is worth it – promise.
