Almost 400 chains have closed throughout Ohio, 46 in Columbus this year; here’s a list of them

This year alone, we’ve seen a slew of national chains closing nationally. But for Ohio specifically, almost 400 chains have closed (or are closing very soon). 

Some retailers, such as Big Lots, cited a bad economy and inflation for their plethora of store closures. Some companies, like Gamestop, have announced an alarming number of their sales decreasing, forcing them to close some storefronts. Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy last year due to a number of factors, including nearly $4 billion in debt and over 1,600 lawsuits related to their alleged role in the opioid epidemic.

And here I was worried about my student loans debt!
