Less than a month after opening its new Grandview storefront, a long-standing Columbus ice cream shop is bringing another new location to central Ohio.

Johnson’s Real Ice Cream plans to open its newest storefront on April 11.

The more than 70 year-old local ice cream concept’s newest store will be located at 869 N. 4th St.

The opening comes just weeks after Johnson’s opened a new Grandview scoop shop on March 21, which is located at 1325 Grandview Ave.

The new stores mark a period of rapid expansion for the popular Columbus ice cream shop. Johnson’s opened its first location in Bexley in 1950. Today, its Bexley storefront remains open, alongside locations in New Albany, Dublin and the recently-opened Grandview store.

A Canal Winchester shop will be opening soon as well, which will be Johnson’s third new location in likely less than a year’a time.
