Long-standing Short North bar and eatery announces closing date

After more than a decade, a Short North bar will remain open for just over two weeks before saying goodbye for good.

After announcing in late April its plans to close in the near future, Mouton shared its final day of service in a social media post yesterday.

Mouton will close its doors for good after service on June 1.

“Our last day will be June 1st. We look forward to seeing you all one last time,” the post reads.

According to Mouton’s previous statement announcing its closure, the bar’s lease was not being renewed “as to make way for a new development with the adjacent space.”
The Short North spot, which is located at 654 N. High St., opened in 2010. It became a hotspot for cocktails,  small plates and shareable food.
