National hot chicken chain opens second new Ohio location in two weeks

Dave’s Hot Chicken added a new Ohio eatery in late September, and it’s opening a second new Buckeye State location this week as well. This will make two Ohio Dave’s Hot Chicken openings in as many weeks.

After opening its first Toledo storefront on Sept. 20, the hugely popular Nashville-style chicken concept is coming to Canton.

According to a social media post from Dave’s Hot Chicken, the Canton eatery will open on Oct 4. It’s located at 5440 Whipple Ave.

In a span of just two weeks, the chain has gone from five Ohio locations to seven. Dave’s first Buckeye State storefront opened on the city’s Northwest Side in 2022, before opening a second Columbus location—on OSU campus—in late 2023 and a third in Westerville earlier this year.

Dave’s Hot Chicken also operates two other locations in the Cleveland area.
