Popular 59 year old Ohio pizza chain opens first Columbus location
A new (old) spot for pizza, subs, and cookie pies opened last weekend, taking over a recently closed pizzeria and bar.
Jac & Do’s, which first opened in Findlay, OH back in 1965, has officially made their way down to Columbus, opening at 1607 N. High St., in what was most recently Slammies on High.
Slammies on High closed last month, but luckily, you’ll still be able to grab delicious pizza in that same spot. Jac & Do’s specializes in “tavern-style” pies, using a homemade sauce recipe they make from scratch daily.

The pizza shop also offers toasted subs, like Hoagies, Italian, and BLTs, plus 8” cookie pies. They’re still in their soft opening phase, only offering pepperoni or cheese pizza right now, but the chain is known for specialty pizzas like Buffalo Chicken, Garlic Cheese, Taco, Hawaiian, and BBQ Chicken Pizza, as well as boneless or bone in wings smothered in your choice of sauce.
Jac & Do’s opened 4 p.m. on Friday, October, and while they’re still adjusting their hours, they appear to be open 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. on week nights, and 11am-2am on Saturdays.
