After devastating fire, popular cafe specializing in biscuits & breakfast sandwiches reopens
A popular spot that serves some of the best baked goods in town was forced to close after their facility caught fire when a device containing lithium batteries exploded.
About two months later, and Gluten Free Biscuits by Daddy-O is back and better than ever! They reopened their storefront at 821 E. Long St. on August 23.

The gluten free biscuit-forward cafe first opened in August of 2023, quickly becoming a favorite for those with celiac, and even those who are craving breakfast sandwiches made on decadent biscuits. The eatery serves cinnamon, chicken, and sausage biscuits, among other gluten-free delicacies like chicken tenders and even pizza around lunchtime. Check out the rest of their menu here!
Daddy-O’s also offers their special biscuit mixes in-store and online.
Stop in and support this small business that’s getting back on their feet after a devastating summer – they’re open 7am-9pm every day, but they’re closed on Labor Day next week.
