Popular Ohio pizza concept reopening eatery
The DiCarlo’s Pizza location in Westerville is currently closed, but it likely won’t remain that way for long.
According to Executive Director of Uptown Westerville Lynn Aventino, the Westerville DiCarlo’s Pizza, which is located at 20 S. State St., will reopen under management of the DiCarlo’s family directly. The pizzeria was originally opened by franchisees Mike and Sarah Carlson in July of 2022. It shuttered last fall.
According to Aventino, the Westerville DiCarlo’s plans to open as soon as the brick walkway in front of the State Street storefront is completed, which could be as early as March 1.

While the Ohio Valley pizzeria’s Westerville restaurant will reopen under family management, it appears the same will not be the case for its Hilliard store. According to Aventino and the Hilliard Chamber of Commerce, the Hilliard DiCarlo’s will not reopen. Instead. “Another non-pizza business will be headed into that spot soon,” the Hilliard Chamber of Commerce posted on its Facebook page.
Most recently, the Carlsons reopened the Hilliard DiCarlo’s in late 2022, although the store has been in Hilliard for nearly two decades.
