Popular Pakistani/American fusion chain opening first Ohio location in Cbus
“There’s a huge Pakistani community here, but not a lot of restaurants that reflect that,” said Farah Ilyas, the owner of the new Pakistani restaurant coming to town.
Lahore Food Street, also known as just “Food Street” at their sister restaurant in New Jersey, is making its way to Clintonville, encouraging central Ohio to try a taste of what makes the city of Lahore in Pakistan so special, but with a modern approach.
“We decided on a street food concept because that’s what people miss the most about our country,” Ilyas explained. “It’s what people crave and can’t really get here in the United States.”

So what is a modern approach to Pakistani street food, you may wonder? Aalo Tikki Burgers, Chicken Tikka Paratha Rolls, Samosa Chaat, South-Asian spiced crispy chicken sandwiches, and so much more, all halal.
The New Jersey based restaurant is extremely popular, becoming a viral sensation almost overnight for their Pakistani/American fusion fare. Ilyas resides in Lewis Center, and she’s thrilled to be serving up some delicious food in Clintonville.
Food Street will be located at 3373 N. High St., and is projected to open either late fall or early winter. They’ll serve lunch and dinner. Check out the New Jersey location’s Instagram in the meantime!
