A long-standing Dublin hotspot appears to be preparing for demolition.

The Bogey Inn—which has served as a Dublin hotspot for decades—closed after owner Jeff Parenteau’s death in 2022. According to information from auctioneer Paul Delphia posted to AuctionZip.com, the Bogey is slated for demolition after an auction of its memorabilia is completed.

“Former site of Bogey inn and Bogey Bar and Grill. Building is coming down,” part of Delphia’s notes about the auction read.

According to Dublin deputy director of communications and marketing Ausling Babbitt, the city does not currently have a demolition scheduled for the Bogey Inn property. It’s also unclear if there are any plans for future development of the site.

The auction—which will take place online—will begin on Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. Bidding on items is currently open, and they’re expected to close quickly when the auction goes live.

The full catalog of items for sale in the auction is available here. Featuring hundreds of pieces of memorabilia, the event will be selling Bogey Inn bar items like patio furniture, equipment, its marquee sign and more.
