‘Chipotle-style’ Mediterranean restaurant opens in former bakery

Fat Girl bakery may have closed earlier this year, but a fast casual Mediterranean restaurant has since moved into the storefront, offering shawarma instead of sweets.

Med-Mix Grill is now open at 6457 Hamilton Rd., serving “Chipotle-style” Mediterranean fare, with ingredients all made in-house.

Owner David Alzuraigat hand roasts the eggplant for their creamy baba ghanoush and slices their halal meats right off of the spit. Their falafel is made in-house too, offering vegan alternatives to their bowls, wraps, and salads.

Other menu options include gyro pita wraps, shawarma bowls, quinoa salads, dips and spreads, and sides like grape leaves and Greek fries. 

They’re open daily from 11am-9pm.
