Sandwich shop chain closes, but national pizza chain appears to be moving right in

A former sandwich shop is soon going to be serving pies instead of subs.

The Jimmy John’s that was previously located at 4409 N. High St. first opened in 2018, but six years later, it quietly closed its doors for good. Numerous bad reviews say this location was rarely open during set hours.

But this Clintonville/Beechwold spot won’t be empty for long. According to recently filed city permits, Papa John’s appears to be making its way in the storefront, with a pretty simple renovation costing only around $200,000.

Ironically, a nearby Papa John’s is closing to make way for a sandwich shop. Potbelly will be opening at 2108 N. High St. once Papa John’s closes.
