Steph’s Way, located in Cypress Kitchen at 177 S Cypress Ave., is a casual walk-up window restaurant offering great food and friendly service. With inventive flavors and high-quality ingredients, this local hidden gem is quickly becoming a favorite among Columbus food fans. From feast-worthy wings to creative sandwiches, Steph’s Way has it all.

The wings are brined and seasoned with a secret house blend, refrigerated overnight, baked, and then fried to order, resulting in a perfectly crispy exterior and a juicy, tender inside. When asked why his wings are so good, StephVon explained, “Anybody can bake or fry a wing, but it’s all about the brine and seasonings I use.”

The magic doesn’t stop with the wings themselves; the house made sauces elevate the experience. StephVon said, “We want our customers to have an experience and continue coming to us because our sauces can’t be found anywhere else.” With over 25 house-made sauces, including favorites like Steph’s Way, Spicy Garlic, and Notcha Sriracha, the variety ensures there’s something for everyone. StephVon loves experimenting with flavors, drawing his latest inspiration from Rap Snack chips. This creativity allows Steph’s Way to continually create new dishes that keep customers coming back for more.

Another highlight on the menu is the creatively named Morning Wood sandwich featuring a fried chicken breast topped with hot honey syrup and pepper Jack cheese, all served on brioche French toast. Treat yourself by adding eggs and bacon for an additional cost. Another inventive option is the Not Your Average Joe, a twist on the classic Sloppy Joe. This version uses ribeye steak mixed with peppers, onions, mushrooms, banana peppers, and the house-made Steph’s Way sauce (combining garlic parmesan with buffalo sauce and other secret ingredients), all topped with Monterey Jack cheese and served on Texas toast.
