This is the best burger in Columbus, according to new contest

Columbus has spoken on who serves the city’s best burger, and it’s a name some may not be familiar with yet. 

According to the Best Burger in Columbus 2024 contest, which was hosted by the restaurant supply company TriMark, a food truck claimed the city’s top spot.

After more than 3,000 votes that were submitted last month, the Smash Buddies food truck was named the best burger spot in Columbus.

Launched last year by Kole Nuehs and Jared France, a pair of West Coast transplants, the truck prioritizes quality over quantity, opting for an ultra-streamlined menu that features only Smash Burgers, Grilled Cheese Smash Burgers, Tots and drinks.

The new eatery in Jackie O’s on Fourth, Goood Friends, finished second in the contest, while Hot Mess (which operates a food truck, in addition to a pair of food hall locations), took third place.
