Two Columbus fast food restaurants to be demolished
Pending city approval, two former hotspots for a quick burger could be demolished soon.
The Burger King at 3200 Olentangy River Rd., right between El Vaquero and Bob Evans, is featured in Columbus city building permits, seeking a demolition for the entire building.
Since it closed years ago, no other restaurant or business has moved in. However, permits show that the property was sold to Columbia Gas of Ohio for $1.7 million this month.

As for the other restaurant, the White Castle at 1025 Alum Creek, the casual burger joint is being razed to make way for a new…White Castle.
White Castle did not comment on when they plan to demolish the current building and rebuild a new one. Recently, the company has been renovating previous buildings around town, many of which were built in the 80s.
