West-Side spot for coneys, burritos and more permanently closes

A Hilliard eatery known for Coney dogs and burritos has closed its doors.

According to a statement posted to its Facebook page, Talita’s Burritos & Coneys is now permanently closed. The restaurant was located at 6542 Hayden Run Rd.

“Thank you for all the business over the past few years. We are sorry to announce that we are officially closed for business,” the statement, which was posted May 31, reads.

Currently, Talita’s Northwest Side eatery, which is located at 1335 Dublin Rd. in Columbus, remains open. This location is known for burritos and is billed as “authentic Tex-Mex food,” but does not offer the Coney dogs served at the Hilliard store.

It’s currently unclear why Talita’s Burritos & Coneys closed.

The Talita’s brand opened its first Columbus restaurant, which was located in Clintonville, in 1968.
