75-person brawl shuts down neighboring county fair
About 45 minutes away, over in Springfield, OH, the county fair had to be shut down early, and not because they ran out of cotton candy.
Last Friday, around 8:45 p.m., authorities were called to the scene when a 75-person brawl broke out at the fair, next to the larger rides, prematurely ending all the friendly fair fun.
According to police, four juveniles were detained, but then released when their parents came to the fairgrounds to pick them up. Clark County investigators are still reviewing videos of the fight, which reveals a gun being dropped during the brawl. The investigation is ongoing.
