About a dozen puppies found taped shut in tub in local Office Max dumpster; how to help

Sav McKee

According to Rico Pet Recover, a young woman was taking out the trash in the dumpster behind the Hilliard Office Max. When she heard a tiny bark, she jumped inside of the dumpster to find eleven puppies trapped in a tub.

There were no security cameras. The young woman placed all 11 puppies in her car, drove them to her parent’s house (who were fosters for Rico Pet Recovery), and kept them safe until Rico Pet Recovery was able to take them in.

People on social media are calling her a hero.

Rico is still looking for a few more fosters for these adorable puppies. They’re about 5-7 weeks old, and approximately 6 pounds each. You can apply to foster here.

If you can’t foster, you can still help by buying food & supplies! Here’s Rico’s Amazon wishlist, and here’s their Chewy wishlist. Here’s a link to their Paypal as well. Their Venmo is @ricopetrecovery, their CashApp $ricopetrecovery, and their Zelle is 6147693288.

Rico Pet Recovery is asking more Columbus to be more aware of their surroundings, now more than ever. They said, “Desperate people do desperate things.”
