A new WalletHub study has tapped the Buckeye State as one of the 10-worst economies in the country.

The study, which was published on June 3, named Ohio as the 42nd-strongest economy in the country. More accurately, perhaps, it can be described as the 9th-worst economy in the country, according to WalletHub (the District of Columbia was also included).

Ohio scored a total of 36.40 points out of 100 total in the WalletHub study.

The study used a total of 28 relevant metrics across three categories: economic activity, economic, economic health and innovation potential. The state’s highest ranking came in the innovation potential category, where it was listed as 33rd.

According to the WalletHub study, Washington State’s economy is the country’s best, with a score of 71.1 out of 100.
