AP: Ohio bowling pro arrested during bowling tournament on ‘secret’ federal indictment
A professional bowler based out of Chillicothe—about an hour south of Downtown Columbus—was arrested while competing in a bowling tournament earlier this month, according to an Associated Press report.
Brandon Novak, 35, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshall’s during the 2024 U.S. Open Bowling Tournament on Feb. 1.
The AP report cited Deputy U.S. Marshall for the Southern District of Ohio, who said Novak was arrested as part of a “secret indictment.” The indictment will be revealed when the bowler is extricated to Ohio, although there’s currently no timeline on when this will happen.
