Columbus is an incredible place to live and raise a family of course, but to live in one of the top 10 places, we’d have to move about an hour and a half down South.

According to a report by Niche, an online ranking and review platform that finds the best places for students to attend school and families to live, a suburb on the outskirts of Cincinnati, called Mariemont, is the 9th best place in America to raise a family, and the #1 place in Ohio for families in general.

These rankings used a variety of factors, such as cost of housing and living, public schools, crime and safety, the job market, commuter times, plus more.

Niche graded Mariemont an A+ for public schools and family life, an A in crime & safety and nightlife, an A- in housing costs, and a C+ in diversity, with an overall grade of an A+. They definitely passed the test!

“With a population of 3,493…Mariemont is one of the best places to live in Ohio. Living in Mariemont offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Mariemont there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many families and young professionals live in Mariemont and residents tend to lean conservative. The public schools in Mariemont are highly rated,” said Niche.

The median home value in Mariemont is $501,300 (almost double the national average) while the median rent is $1,295 ($30 more than the national average right now).
