Columbus continues to rise in ‘US News & World Reports’ annual Places to Live list

According to US News & World Reports’ annual story detailing the “Best Places to Live in the U.S.,” Columbus is on the rise again.

After being named the county’s 69th best city to live last year, the Arch City took the 61st spot this year. 

Columbus received a 6.3 overall score, with a 6.7 quality of life score and a 7.2 value score.

Where Columbus was the third best city to live in Ohio according to last year’s ranking, the new report has it as the Buckeye State’s highest-rated city in the updated list.

Each year, the outlet uses a “comprehensive” ranking system. A total of 150 cities are given a score across six categories (Desirability, Value, Job Market, Quality of Life and Net Migration). Each of these sub-scores are weighted and averaged to generate each city’s total score.
