Three local McDonald’s employees facing assault charges after allegedly breaking drive-thru customer’s bone

A dispute broke out around 12:50 a.m. at a Northside McDonald’s last month after a customer was dissatisfied with his order. 

Three employees at the McDonald’s located at 871 E 17th Ave., right off of 71, are now facing assault charges. According to the Columbus Police, a customer requested the employees fix his meal, leading to the initial argument with employee Cedric Love. Another employee, Torshawn Williams, then filled up a soda fountain drink, and the third employee, Cornelious Goodrich, joined the other two as they made their way outside to the customer’s car.

Williams allegedly threw the cup through the customer’s open window, and when the customer got out of his van, the three employees allegedly started punching the customer in the head, according to the documents. This customer suffered a broken orbital bone (the bone around your eye), which required surgery to heal.

While an arrest warrant was issued for Love on November 6, he still has not been taken into custody. However last Wednesday, Goodrich appeared in court, receiving a $30,000 bond. The next day, Williams received a $50,000 bond and a temporary restraining order. The two are ordered back in court on November 22.
