Ohio city named the nation’s best “Halloweentown” in new study; two others in top ten

According to a new study conducted by FinanceBuzz, three of the country’s best “Halloweentowns” are located in the Buckeye State.

This includes the country’s top spot as well, as Toledo was named the nation’s best “Halloweentown” in the new study.

Out of 75 total cities, Cleveland took the fourth spot, and Cincinnati landed at sixth overall. Columbus did make the list, but as the nation’s 37th best city for Halloween.

According to FinanceBuzz, each of the nation’s 75 cities were evaluated across multiple categories, including candy and costume stores per 100,000 residents,  “real” haunts and haunted houses per 100,000 residents, fall climate index scores and more.

Toledo finished with a 73.4 overall, which beat out Riverside, California (which scored a 73.2) for first place. Cleveland finished with a score of 70.3, Cincinnati with a score of 66.4 and Columbus with a score of 30.3.
