Ohio company selling flame-throwing robot dog with range of 30 feet
For the low price of $9,420, the “first-ever flamethrower-wielding robot dog” can be yours.
And no, this is not a joke. You can actually buy one here.
The aptly-named Cleveland company Throwflame, which is self-described as “your 1 stop flamethrower shop,” recently introduced the Thermanator, a robot dog equipped with a flamethrower that can shoot up to 30 feet.

The Thermanator comes equipped with Throwflame’s entirely electric ARC Flamethrower. The flamethrower boasts “instant ARC ignition,” Throwflame notes on its website. The mechanized canine also uses an electric pulse-driven navigation system called lidar to maneuver around objects.
According to Throwflame, the Thermanator boasts a number of practical uses (which we’ll let you decide the veracity of), including:
- Wildfire Control and Prevention
- Agricultural Management
- Ecological Conservation
- Snow and Ice Removal
- Entertainment and SFX
