Shooting at downtown Columbus nightclub leaves two people dead and two injured

The Columbus Division of Police told 614Now that two people have died, and another two are left injured after a shooting that took place at a late-night dance club.

At around 1:45 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at Avalon, located at 205 N. 5th St. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and after being transported to a nearby hospital, another victim died.

Two other victims were injured. One is in critical condition, and another is in stable condition, according to police.

“We’re still investigating the matter, and we’re still at the nightclub right now for the investigation,” said a Columbus Division of Police spokesperson. 

As of now, no one is in custody.
