Six Ohio cities among the dirtiest in the country, new study finds

While N. Main Street in Chagrin Falls was recently tapped as one of the cleanest streets in the country by Waste Removal USA, the Buckeye State as a whole didn’t fare as well overall in a new study from LawnStarter.

Published earlier this year, LawnStarter ordered the country’s 300 largest cities from most to least dirty, and six total Ohio cities named, although none were in the top 100.

Here’s how LawnStarter’s ratings shook out for Ohio:

115. Columbus
136. Cleveland
159. Cincinnati
161. Akron
184. Toledo
237. Dayton

According to the study, each city was considered using four different categories (with 21 total metrics): air pollution, water quality, waste management and resident satisfaction levels in each city.

In case you’re curious, San Bernadino, California was deemed the country’s dirtiest city according to LawnStarter.
