UFO-themed getaway where guests can sleep in UFO rolls out opening fundraiser

One of the most unique vacation getaways in Ohio is hoping to launch soon (get it?), and now you can help.

Galactic Getaways, a new UFO-themed vacation spot planned for the Dayton area, is launching an Indiegogo to raise funds for the project on May 14th. Those who support the fundraising effort can receive early VIP access, discounts and other perks.

According to concept designs for the space, once completed, the property will allow guests to, literally, sleep inside of a bright green spaceship.

“The home will be a 30 ft round UFO, complete with a kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom and living room area. Hot tub and fire pit area,” Owner Michael Noble told 614Now earlier this year. “I plan on building a Hangar 18 experience inspired by the decades old rumors of Wright Patt’s hangar 18 [in Dayton].  Inside I will have alien props and displays to create an immersive experience.”

Originally targeting an early summer opening date, the destination is now hoping to open before the end of the year. It’s unclear where specifically the property will be located.
