A High Street shoe store was the victim of a smash and grab burglary in the early hours of Dec. 26.

According to an Instagram post from 614Sneaker, a Short North store for buying, trading and selling shoes, the business recorded a pair of burglars smashing the glass from the shop’s front door and stealing merchandise.

“Christmas night at 2:25 a.m., we were devastated to receive a call from our alarm company about a break-in,” the post reads.

614Sneaker said that 15 Sp5der brand hoodies were taken, but it appears nothing else was stolen.

The shop has identified “suspects” and is working with Columbus Police to catch the burglars. 614Sneaker, which is located at 964 N. High St., was able to board up the broken glass and reopen the following day.
