City’s 100th homicide occurs over parking spot dispute
Columbus has reached the 100 homicide mark on the year following a dispute over shared parking space that turned deadly.
According to Police, officers responded to a call at the 100 block of Highfield Dr. just before 10:40 p.m. yesterday evening.
The victim, Marcus Deloney, was transported to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m.

According to Police, the shooting followed a dispute over parking spaces that were shared between two families. One of the families was allegedly taking more than their share of space, which prompted members on both sides of the dispute to produce weapons, although only one person was shot.
Police are currently looking for a suspect.
