Winter street festival featuring ice-skating, food and live music comes tonight to Downtown Grandview
Grandview plans to kick off the holidays in style with a winter festival that’s taking place evening.
Holiday in the Heights, an outdoor event headlined by the lighting of the Grandview Christmas tree, will take place this afternoon in Downtown Grandview.
The festival will be held from 3-8 p.m., with most activities kicking off at 5 p.m. Beginning at 1 p.m., Grandview Avenue will be closed between Third Avenue and Haines Avenue, and at 4 p.m., Grandview Avenue will close between Third Avenue and First Avenue.

Promising to be “bigger and better than ever,” this year’s iteration of the holiday party will include live reindeer, Santa, ice skating, a trackless train, and even a snowglobe visitors can take photos inside of.
The event will also include local food, live music, and a ceremonial tree lighting.
