A Bishop Sycamore documentary is set to air this summer; Get the details here

A documentary covering one of the most high-profile—and bizarre—central Ohio happenings from the last several years has been making the rounds at a national film festival, and is set to air later this summer.

And yes, we’re talking about the Bishop Sycamore story.

The film, titled BS High, was directed by Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe and debuted at the TriBeCa Film Festival. It will premier on HBO later this summer.

In case you aren’t aware, Bishop Sycamore was the high school football team that lost by nearly 60 points to IMG Academy in an ESPN-broadcasted spotlight game in 2021.

Massive fallout ensued, prompting the scrutiny of many, including the Ohio Department of Education, which revealed the school never actually existed.

The documentary centers on hours worth of interviews that were held with the team’s head coach Roy Johnson.

BS High will have its network premiere later this summer on HBO and the MAX streaming service. The film is also available to rent from June 19 to July 2 and stream through the Tribeca at Home service on the festival’s website.
