Not allowed. Same-sex marriages can’t take place at Statehouse

After a meeting Thursday The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board indeed confirmed that same-sex marriages still cannot take place at the Statehouse. Receptions can’t happen there either. The discussion was ended when the board decided to uphold the Ohio Constitution and the 2004 amendment that voters approved stating only a man and a woman could be married. The ban might be tested again in a hearing Aug. 6 in Cincinnati, although about a dozen of these banned marriages have already take place at the Statehouse, the Dispatch reported.
