At 73-years-old, Michael Weiss the Express CEO has decided he’s had enough time in the field, and according to Bloomberg, the CEO will resign beginning Jan. 30. Over three decades has been quite a run. Then again, Weiss retired in 2004 already and then decided to come back in 2007. The successor of the New Albany company will be Express president David Kornberg, keeping the position within the Express family. The Bloomberg report also noted that while the change does come as shareholders (Sycamore Partners) have been pushing for the company to privatize again, but any change don’t have anything to do with Weiss stepping back a spokeswoman said.
