After more than a decade, Columbus food truck group shuts down its three trucks

A trio of long-standing Columbus food trucks have closed and are now for sale, after the owner of the eateries announced their plans to retire.

According to statements posted to all three trucks’ Facebook pages, the Cheesy Truck, which offers grilled cheese and is billed as “Columbus’ original grilled cheese truck,” the Angry Weiner, a hot dog concept, and Mya’s Fried Chicken are all currently for sale.

All three concepts are part of the Edje Group Food Trucks. If you’re a big fan of any of them, there’s still a chance the trucks carry on under their current names. The Columbus food truck group noted that each of the brands are for sale, as are the trucks themselves, so whether or not each concept continues will depend upon the buyer.

“After 12 years of running the Cheesy Truck we are retiring and selling the business. We would like to thank all of you for supporting our business over the years,” the Cheesy Truck’s statement reads.

The Angry’s Weiner’s and Mya’s statements are both nearly identical, although those two trucks have been operating for ten years and eight years, respectively.

According to Eric Griffiths, owner of the Edje Group, all three trucks are currently closed, with their last events taking place in October. Griffith told 614Now he plans to retire and begin traveling.
